February 1st birthday of Uncle Elmer.

He is doing quite well healing from his broken hip. He is in a rest home in Colorado Springs since his injury, but you can send cards and letters to his home address and the family will see that he gets them. We miss being able to pick up the phone and call you, Uncle Elmer, but we are grateful for all you have done for us all and send our love to you!

Frequent rain did not dampen the spirit of the Bair clan as we gathered at the mouth of Silver creek Wanship, Utah. We jammed into the parking lot with our tents and cars, and we had fun!

The babbling brook kept the young fascinated as adults talked and reminisced. Games in between the storms helped cousins to get better acquainted. And the food, well you know how good the food is year after year. Dale and a crew cooked up a storm which was appreciated by everyone. The facilities were clean and neat and, of course, we left the park even better than we found it. (That's the Bair way.)

Testimonies were strengthened and shared and fun goodies were available with the silent auction.

A big thank you goes to Diane and John Webster and those who headed up Leila's family effort. A big thank you to the reunion committee for their dedication to the family.

Wanship citizens were just as pleased with the Bairs and are happy to have us back anytime.

July 12th and 13th, 2002 - Wanship, Utah.
Circle these dates and come join the rest of the Bair clan for another rendevous in the mile high mountains at Wanship, Utah. Yes, we are meeting at the same park as last year, except minus the rain storms, we hope.

Howard and Nell's family are in charge of this reunion, with the help of our faithful reunion committee. Our format will be similar to those of the past. A silent auction with great items for all, the usual good food, and bonding with our ancestry of a worthy family.

If more camping room is needed, we can secure more camping about a mile from here, on the river. Remember to come early and enjoy fishing in the Weber River, or biking or horseback riding on the old rail trail. Park City is 15 minutes away and shopping at Kimball's Junction Factory Outlet Stores are at your finger-tips.

On July 12th and 13th come mix with the best people around and learn more about your heritage. Remember, you can't know where you are going until you know where you came from!

Dale Needs Help!
This year Dale's time is limited in how much he can spend in preparing for the food at the reunion. We are looking for someone who has experience in buying for groups who can help purchase food for the meals, and also someone to help cook for the meals during the reunion. Call Dale at 801-373-7072.

Newsletter Help
We need someone to write the newsletter for the next two years. Our newsletter committee member is going on a mission. Anyone interested contact Dale at 801-373-7072.

What is happening with
Howard and Nell's family?

Howard and Nell have three children, Carl, Cecil, and Joyce. Carl and Afton live in San Diego where they serve in the San Diego Temple baptistry. Their health is quite good and they have three boys and one girl. Three live in California and one in Salt Lake City.

Cecil has six children. With his first wife dying, he remarried again. They live in Howard and Nell's home and have served two missions; Nigeria and a temple mission to the Orlando Temple. Cecil is serving as Bishop in the same ward where his father was Bishop. Between their two families Cecil and Deloris have 57 grandchildren.

John and Joyce have three girls and two boys and thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. They have just moved to a double-wide mobile home near their dairy. Joyce is healing from a broken leg and a sprained foot, but she is excited for the reunion.

Mission Chart
Howard's family would like to display a chart at the reunion of missionary activity in our family since Grandpa Bair's first mission to Ohio. What an interesting project! Please call or mail Joyce Turner your families activities so they can chart them.
